Cedar Point Itinerary

Date: Wednesday, May 16

Departure: Be here at 4:15.  We are leaving the parking lot at 4:30- we will NOT wait for you if you’re late!!  Check in with Mr. and Mrs. Packer to be sure of your bus assignment.  Do not switch buses!

Return: approx. 11:00 p.m. – FYI- there is no rule in the handbook (or anywhere) that says that you do not have to come to school on Thursday, regardless of what time we get in.  So- unless you are sick and have a parent’s note- we expect to see you there… bright and chipper. J

The trip is 4.5 hours not considering stops or bad traffic.  You are responsible for the items that you bring on the bus (cameras, mp3s, purses, etc.).  The park is open from 10-7, with the Group Sales gate opening at 9:00.  We will leave the park at 6:30.  It is important that you show up on-time at the various checkpoints throughout the day and at the pick-up spot at the end of the day. If you fail to check-in on-time, we will have to babysit you the rest of the day…. For all of our sakes, be on time!! Your chaperones will have more information for you when you are on the bus. The temperature is expected to be in the 60s (breezy), no rain in the forecast!  Be sure to wear comfortable shoes; you will be on your feet all day. Well, except for the two minute ride after the two hour wait. J

Eating: We will provide donuts for breakfast to eat on the buses. Please bring your own drinks.  You can also bring snacks for the trip.  You will eat lunch and supper in the park.  We will NOT be stopping to eat on the way home.  So bring enough money for two meals and snacks in the park.  Too bank on the side of caution- plan for about $10-$15 a meal.  Snacks and drinks are always outrageous at parks.  Also, you cannot bring food inside the park.   Places to eat:

MACARONI'S: Located across from PEANUTS™ Playground, just off the main midway. Pasta, Freshly-prepared Pizza, Specialty Sandwiches, Italian Dinners, Salad Bar and Desserts.

JOHNNY ROCKETS: Located near the games area on the left side of the main midway, Johnny Rockets offers guests friendly service and great food in an atmosphere that is fun and nostalgic. Johnny Rockets boasts great-tasting food from a menu of all-American favorites including Juicy Hamburgers, Hand-Dipped Shakes and Malts and Freshly-Baked Apple Pie. Guests also enjoy an all-American diner look and feel, servers who know the secret behind getting ketchup out of the bottle, tabletop jukeboxes that belt out tunes for a nickel and authentic decor.

Game Day Grille: Located between the Raptor and Blue Streak roller coasters, Game Day Grille features a sports bar theme, complete with small and large-screen TV’s so you won’t miss your favorite team’s games while at the park. Classic sports fare includes Nachos, Onion Rings, Buffalo Wings in a Variety of Sauces, Steak Burgers, Texas-style Chili, Lobster Bisque, Salads and much, much, more!

Red Garter Saloon: Lcoated on the Frontier Trail. Giant-Sized Sandwich Platters, Macho Nachos, Snacks, Popcorn and Peanuts.

Last Chance Saloon: Located right next door to The Palace in Frontiertown. Giant-Sized Sandwich Platters, Chicken Caesar Salad, Macho Nachos, Snacks, Popcorn and Peanuts.

Chuck Wagon Inn: Located in Frontiertown. Rotisserie chicken, chicken fried steak, BBQ pork sandwich, and other chuck wagon favorites
