BELLEFONTE AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT June 29, 2005 A meeting of the District’s Safety Committee was held June 29, 2005 at 9:00 A.M. at the Central Office conference room. Those in attendance were: William Cain, Aaron Barto, Judy Ripka, & Patti Hillard. Aaron read May meeting minutes and no changes were made. Minutes were approved as read. Old Business: 1. A mercury barometer and three blood pressure devices were disposed of and that is the last of any mercury in the district. 2. Busses at Pleasant Gap. No new issues. Outstanding Work Place Safety Concerns: None Work Place Safety Concerns: None New Business: 1. Asbestos Removal. Contractor uncovered structural issues when black pipe was removed in ceilings at High School. The architect must come up with a solution. 2. Mold results were received from April’s testing, and once again there are no documented mold issues in any district buildings. 3. Substitute safety training and procedures, location of flip charts, and what is in the folders they receive. Aaron will find out from the principals. 4. Barbed wire needs to be re-installed around bus fence before school begins in September.. The next meeting is scheduled for July 28, 2005 at an undetermined location @ 9:00 a.m. Meeting adjourned @ 10:40 p.m. |
