The Bellefonte Area School District Technology Team is planning summer professional development opportunities
for teachers and administrators. The focus of the summer workshops is on improving student learning through the integration of instructional technology.
Participation in the Summer 2012 Technology is strictly voluntary.
Professional participants will receive Act 48 hours. Participants will NOT be paid for attending.
Promethean BoardSession offers instruction on set up and physical use of board, pen and features. Training is available for all teachers on software and resources purchased for use by all teachers in the district.The software will work with the Promethean Board if installed in your room. It will also work with the MOBI if you are already using that as well.
Inspiration 8/NoodleTools/EarthPointSession presenting software we purchased for use in your grade 6-12 classrooms. Companies will present a video instruction session followed by some time to use the programs with trainer in room.NoodleTools is integrated tools for note-taking, outlining, citation, document archiving/annotation, and collaborative research and writing.
Inspiration 8is a tool to utilize for visual mapping, outlining, writing and making presentations.
Earth Pointis a web-delivered environment with detailed, interactive maps and animated graphs.
Nimbus A safe social learning platform available for the entire district. This has similarities to Edmodo for creating groups and sharing documents. It is a Schoolwires product. http://nimbus.bellefonteasd.schoolwires.net
High School ClickersSession for High School teachers to learn how to use and implement student response system in their classroom.
