Communicating with Hearing Babies Using American Sign Language:  Have you been frustrated not knowing why your baby is crying?  You don’t know what your baby needs because he/she can’t verbally tell you they are hungry, thirsty, need a diaper change or even hurt.  Research has shown that hearing babies as young as eight months old can use American Sign Language to communicate wants, needs and feelings long before vocal skills mature.  Research has shown that babies who sign are less frustrated, more content, understand more words, have larger vocabularies, a unique bond with parents, siblings and other caregivers.  Classes are based on Dr. Joseph Garcia’s Sign with your Baby® program.  Who would benefit from these classes?:  expectant parents, new parents, caregivers, grandparents, families and children with special needs, and parents of newly identified deaf/hard of hearing children.  Signs (80-100) such as eat, more and milk will be taught by modeling, songs, games and signed stories by Roger the Reindeer!  Come join this fun and exciting way to communicate with you infant or toddler.  The classes for this program are listed below.
